We started Ahun because riders deserve safe, reliable transport and drivers deserve to keep what they earn. No middleman taking a cut of every trip.
Addis Ababa is a city of millions in motion. But for too long, drivers have given away a percentage of every fare just to access passengers — leaving less for the people doing the actual work.
We built a different model. Drivers pay a flat subscription and keep every birr they earn from riders. Riders get verified, professional drivers and transparent pricing in their local currency. No surprises, no hidden charges.
Drivers keep 100% of fares. We earn through subscriptions, not commissions. Our success is tied to driver success.
Every driver is verified before their first trip. Riders can share live location with contacts. One-tap SOS is always available.
Prices in ETB. Payments via Telebirr and Chapa. We're building for Ethiopia, not exporting a foreign model.
No feature bloat. Fast apps that work on affordable Android devices and on networks that aren't always fast.
Whether you're a rider with a question, a driver needing support, or a business interested in our corporate accounts — reach out.

Search for "Ahun" on the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). There are two apps — one for riders and one for drivers.
You can pay cash directly to the driver at the end of your trip, or use your Ahun wallet which you top up via Telebirr or Chapa.
Drivers keep 100% of every fare — cash rides are settled directly. Wallet rides are transferred to the driver's account. We earn only from subscriptions, not commissions.
Download the Ahun Driver app, register with your phone number, upload your documents, and our team will verify and approve your account within 1–3 business days.
All drivers are manually verified. Trips can be shared with trusted contacts. There's a one-tap SOS button in the rider app. Driver and vehicle details are shown before every ride.
We currently serve the Addis Ababa metropolitan area. We're working on expanding to more Ethiopian cities — follow us for updates.
